Wrong elevation chart

I have started looking at Avomap. But I can’t find a way to get the correct elevation chart. I have the correct elevation for my GPX file. When I import it to Avomap, it recalculates the elevation data, and it becomes completely wrong. For example, elevation is zero over bridges. Is it a way to use the elevation data from the GPX file?

    Hi there, thanks for reaching out. I understand your frustration—elevation accuracy is something I’ve been working on for quite a while.

    Other users have reported similar issues, and we’ve found that elevation data can vary significantly depending on the device that recorded the GPX file. To address this, I currently ignore the elevation data in the GPX file and instead recalculate it using a third-party provider, which derives a median elevation along the route.

    That said, offering an additional option to keep the original elevation data instead of recalculating it is a great idea. I hadn’t considered that before, but it’s definitely something I can look into adding.
