No option for ferries?

I am trying to show a route I did involving two ferries. If I put these segments in as driving, they do not appear, or the route goes back on itself. If i put them in as flight, the route works but then shows an airplane on the video, which I do not want. Is there any workaround for this?

    Adding ferries is now possible through custom segments. Just go to the Route tab, select Custom Route, and you can “paint” your route however you like.

    Yes, there is a workaround for this. Since routing right now is limited to streets you are correct, you need to use a flight segment to fly to your destination. In addition, jump into the ‘Track’ tab, then click on ‘Plane & Flight Path‘ and disable the plane icon.

    I know this is a hack for now but it works. Eventually, I will add a freestyle route ‘painting‘ option.

    just like the flight symbol, ferry symbol would be great in the animation
