I am trying to make my first animated map and it says I need to buy credits, but does not say how many credits I need for the video? Basically you are asking me to pay for something before I know the cost.
Hey Mark, it took a while but I’ve rewritten the logic for pricing and credits. All extra features are now streamlined and will cost one extra credit towards the base render credit.
To make this very clear I’ve created a Credit Calculator that will be shown on the pricing page. This feature is scheduled to go live tomorrow. Here’s a sneak preview.
Again, thanks for bringing this up, I really appreciate it.

Hi Mark,
Thank you very much for your feedback — this is genuinely helpful. This is an area of the application that I haven’t revisited in quite some time, and I honestly lost sight of how it appears to new users. I really appreciate you bringing this up. I’ll look into improving this and making it clearer.
