Deleting pauses

Feature Request

Hi there, I have created a number of maps with lots of pauses and I would now like to get rid of them, but when I delete a pause the route reroutes off-track before rejoining the original route later. And I can’t reload my original gpx as that will mean I have to start over and lose all the symbols I have added to the original map. Is there an alternative to me starting from scratch?

    Hi Andrew, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, I have some bad news: yes, you’ll need to recreate your maps.

    That said, this is great feedback because I completely understand how annoying this behavior is. I need to look into this and disable rerouting when users remove pause segments. Right now, the system treats a removed pause segment like a regular segment and rebuilds the route based on certain backend parameters, which of course doesn’t make much sense in this case.

    Thanks for pointing that out — I’ll look into fixing it as soon as I can.

    In the meantime, unfortunately, recreating the map is the only solution. Sorry about that.

      Thanks Tobias. I fully understand.

      As a follow up to this what would be very useful would be the facility to copy my symbols from one map to another or even the ability to save my own symbol preferences to apply to new locations in another map. I appreciate that there are a lot of symbol presets to choose from but inevitably I like to fine tune and it gets complex very quickly.

      Really enjoy using the platform and appreciate your hard work and engagement.
