Would it be possible to add a configurable timer (like os, 1s, 3s) at waypoints, so the track progress marker would stop at waypoints, and resume after the timer expires?
I don’t know what is considered a waypoint, but I am also looking for a similar functionality. I have “symbols” along the route, and it would be sooo nice if I could slow down the animation while it is close to them. What is this feature you are referring to?

You can either create stop segments to focus on a certain POI or cut your segments into smaller segments, then define the time (and camera settings) for those segments. Let me know if this works for you.
